Balancing Masculine and Feminine
NOTE: Before commencing any of the healing/guided visualisation meditations - it is advisable to start with the Inner Sanctuary Meditation. Once you have done this a few times - then start on the other meditations as you feel drawn to them.
THE UNION OF FEMININE AND MASCULINE ENERGY IS THE BASIS OF SUCCESS THROUGH GOOD HEALTH, POSITIVE USE OF OUR CREATIVE ABILITIES AND OUR CAPACITY TO MANIFEST.
Do you have your " masculine/feminine energies within" balanced?
For those that don’t understand the terminology – the masculine and feminine is known by other names such a yin/yang by people from the East, or Anime/Animus (a concept put forward by Carl Jung in researching and studying his patients, based on pagan terminology).
As an individual if you don’t feel whole and your survival is dependent on another person, you live in fear of losing that person. If you know on a deep level that the person that you love is a mirror of yourself, you cannot be dependent on them and you recognise that you are in that relationship is an opportunity to learn about yourself by looking in the mirror and seeing what they reflect to you. If you are looking at the “other half’ it can magnify your feelings of inadequacy because you are unable to do these things yourself and are reliant on another to do it for you.
By balancing our own internal energies – we manage to get a balance that carries through to the environment around them. If for example a woman starts to balance her energies (masculine and feminine within herself), then the male around her will follow suit and work to rebalance his own energies to keep up with her, (and vice versa).
IDENTIFYING IF YOUR INTERNAL ENERGIES ARE UNBALANCED
When these energies are out of balance we tend to demonstrate at least some of these in the following ways:
Female - feels disempowered, manipulates to achieve results, feels helpless and dependant on men or male role model partner. May have many physical ailments (which provides further ground to emotionally manipulate the partner to gain his attention), dishonesty, overly sexual (using sex to gain control), acting the seductress, or acting as a little girl, and cattiness. The more unbalanced her energies – the greater “macho personality traits” the romantic partners in her life will carry.
Male – Controlling (of people and environment), controlling of female partners, and has a fear of the feminine energy (exploring his emotions/feelings). Trust issues, Unemotional, suppressive toward women,(because of his own desire to suppress his own emotional/feeling voice). The traditional macho man has a hysterical female voice in side screaming to get out, and will draw to his world needy females who also have their energies unbalanced. The more macho he is – the more his female partner will fit the description of the Female energy unbalanced.
Particularly within the Western Culture, most of us have become quite skilled at repressing aspects of our persona, and largely due to our own upbringing where we have been historically required to act or behave in a certain way. These roles are those structures that over the course of time create huge conflict for ourselves: the man who cannot cry, or who is incredibly macho, and may even use the term “real men don’t... “, or the ever and overemotional female who feels incapable of looking after her own basic needs, and has problems standing up for herself or activating her dreams. Her reality is nothing like what she visualises in her mind. If you are uncomfortable using the term male and female within, try swapping it for the yin/yang and substitute a picture in your mind of the fengshui symbol.
(It is easier to create a practical understanding in our physical existence if we label the energies and even apply a visual picture to the process. ) These definitions are symbolic only, It may help if we view the energies as: our traditionally masculine energies of “being able to provide and protect ourselves”, and the feminine energy “the deepest wisest intuitive aspect of ourselves, and the capacity to be receptive”
Problems have occurred within society when we have listened to stereo types of what is female and male behaviours and how we are supposed to act. People have limited themselves to their gender stereotype where “men don’t do this, and women don’t do that”, which means that we repress aspects of ourselves, based on these concepts, and in the process our internal masculine and feminine energies become unbalanced. It is important to remember that each individual is internally a whole being. When a woman allows her male energy to support her internally and support her inner female ,s he feels safer to become more feminine, softer and open and gentle, because she has the internal strength to take care of herself.
As demonstrations in action of how it works within us – the female part says “I feel this”, the masculine part says “I hear your feelings – what would you like me to do”. The female part says “I want that”, the masculine part says “you want that? I will get it for you”.
These two forces are essential qualities for our manifestation and our creative ability. For instance – as a further demonstration of how the process works – an artist may have a vision of what they would like to achieve or create and be able to see it in a vision. This idea is created from our receptive/feminine channels/energy. The ability to translate that vision is through the act of “doing “ (our masculine ability to be able to put this idea into reality). For any successful manifestation of dreams/ideas /visions- we need to be working with both the receptive and active channels/energy. When there is an imbalance in the energy we may find that we are doing very little to follow through on our dreams and visions, or alternatively we may be acting without though and aimlessly on our journey of life.
Both energies need to be functioning fully and completely within ourselves to have a harmonious and productive life. The female energy is the guiding energy, which is tapped into the highest level of the universe, the function of the male energy is to put this guidance to good use, with clarity directness and a passionate strength based on the guidance /information that comes through. This is an INTERNAL PROCESS. This does not mean that women should tell men what to do and does not mean that men have to listen to women in the physical world. The terms male and female energy is symbolic only.
FEMALE
The intuitive part of us the deepest wisest guiding force within us. It is the receptive door within us that allows the higher power of the universe to come into us. Through the female we receive the creative power of the universe. Think of it as the receiving end of the channel.
MALE
The male aspect is the action part of the polarity. It is our ability to take action in the physical world. It is our ability to do things, to speak, to move our bodies.(In a way you could think of it as the out flowing part of the polarity. Energy moves in through the receptivity door (feminine aspect) and moves out through the masculine ability to take action).
When men really allow themselves to feel their internal feminine power, it enhances their masculinity and they feel stronger. They feel more powerful. Rather than becoming more androgynous and more all alike,
Each of the individual forms becomes more enhanced and we can play the outside game”better but we are stronger internally because we are not living from “half of our being”.. we are living in union and unity with SELF.
The act of suppressing our guidance is actually OLD male energy that lies within both women and men, war is an example of old energy. Ego is the old male energy – hold onto individuality and separateness at any cost. the balance actually helps to empower us to be true to ourselves and exhibit the truth and power of Ways to identify – are our energies in balance is to look at ourselves and our behaviors.
There is one very simple way to start the process of rebalancing our “energies” within us, which requires very little time, and a commitment to the process during the transition. If you have identied that your own inner balance is out of synch, then you can do a meditation or a visual exercise to re-balance them. Take a chakra walk – and go to your inner sanctuary, and whilst you are in there(you will have invoked or stated the intent of your meditation before starting), go to your “inner sanctuary”, and meet your “other half”, if you are a male – visualise a female stepping forward, and alternatively if you are a female stand in your sanctuary, and wait for your male persona to step forward, (it is a little bizarre the first time), and when you are both standing there – commit to remaining balanced energetically in your life, and see yourself either marrying or binding your female self to your masculine self. Stay in this moment, for as long as comfortable, and then return to the present state walking back down the chakras. I will create a power point presentation to assist with the process.. of affirmed visualisation. I offer no explanation as to why this method works, but perhaps it includes a focusing of thought and mind onto positive change in our lives?
