Transmuting with Violet Flame

The violet flame meditation has the healing properties of transmuting at a very deep level anything around or within us that is less than love. I first heard of it about fifteen years ago, and then later as the “silver violet flame”.
I have always been sceptical and believe in being open minded and giving things “ a go”. The logic behind the meditation is that everything around us including ourselves is made up of an energy or vibration. As we walk our path in life we come in contact with the positive and the negative, the highs and the lows, and we pick up on those energies, and we can define these as “fear based” or “ love based”. Fear based “stuff” is considered to be lower energies and drags us downwards in an emotional state and the lowest of lows is when we are feeling disempowered, unhealthy and even hopeless.. when we feel at our lightest we feel empowered, loved, included and valued and we are in physical, emotional, and mental good health.
The idea is that by doing the meditation (and remaining open minded about the outcomes), we transmute anything that is unhealthy for us into supporting energies for good overall health and well being including on a spiritual level.
You will find many different approaches and logics and styles and methods of drawing on the violet flame energies and I encourage you to follow the guidance of your own heart to find what “works for you” and what is most “comfortable for you”. You may decide to invoke the higher beings, higher self, or “All That I AM” prior to the meditation. Should you fall asleep in the process – stress less, the exercise will continue to have its affect anyway – especially if you ask for the healing to continue until completion even if you fall asleep in the process.

Method
Suggestion – when you decide to do the meditation, take a little time before hand to establish and list what it is that you hope to achieve. You could quite simply state that you call on the Creator and Divine energy and your higher self to bring in the violet flame to transmute all energies around you to create a state of the PERFECT MIND, BODY, SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH – followed by thanks and gratitude to the powers that be, for you know that as you as – it is done!
STATE YOUR INTENT before starting the visualisation, and if you are an invoker, call in advance, and then commence this very simple visualisation exercise. If you are invoking to “remain awake and aware at all times throughout the meditation” then you could also invoke in advance that your guides/higher self All That I AM state, bring you back to conscious awareness at a certain time frame – eg half an hour.

If you are invoking to “remain awake and aware at all times throughout the meditation” then you could also invoke in advance that your guides/higher self All That I AM state, bring you back to conscious awareness at a certain time frame – eg half an hour.
- Create the space where you won't be interrupted – as with any of the guided meditations, light candles, play music if you desire, burn relaxing and/or protective essential oils and incense, whatever it is that makes YOU feel comfortable and safe to commence the meditation.
- Make yourself comfortable, by lying down or sitting in a position that you can sustain for at least 2o minutes to half an hour. REMEMBER – DON'T STRAIN. Just be easy on yourself – if your mind wanders – gently bring it back but don't force yourself or become agitated with yourself.. EASE – it may take time to harness the breathing technique – the more you practise the better you will get and the easier it will be to sustain it.
- Start by breathing, breathe deeply down into your abdomin – counting to five on the inhale, holding for five, then counting to five on the exhale, holding for five, inhaling for five, etc and so forth for about five big breaths, (don't strain – if five is too many, reduce to three big breaths) and then revert to your natural breathing rhythm.
- As you breathe put your attention on the breath, and at the same time see in your “minds eye” yourself sitting in the middle of a fire or flames. The flames of course – are violet colour. It may start as a few small tongues of fire but with your outward breath, see the flames grow bigger and higher encompassing you completely. Sit within this fire and in your minds eye – see the inward breath, inhaling the violet flame, the breath is pain free, , it is purifying, comfortable and cleansing. With each inward breath you feel yourself and your energy lightening up and you are opening to more joy and love in your heart and through the core of your being. Each outward breath exhales anything that is less than love, these burdens, anxieties and fears are exhaled out into the violet flame and transmuted – they no longer have a hold over you. Each breath in you feel more lighter, more joyful and each breath out you feel more liberated and burden free.
- Continue to breathe and feel this experience in your body – be aware of any changes in your own physical body – warmth and tingling and any sensations you might be experiencing. Changes in temperature. Just stay with the experience until you feel drawn to come back to your conscious state.
- AS you come back to conscious awareness, make sure that you flex your muscles, and stretch arms and legs before trying to stand. Give thanks and go about your day again.
