Nuumite

Known as the magicians stone it is recommended that you approach the use of it with caution. It will initially draw to the surface situations that yo have long repressed and may not even know lie within your cellular or auric field. It can lead to a “dark night of the soul” for the sensitive, however once this has been passed through, the other magical properties of Nuumite surface. It strengthens, integrates and aligns the auric bodies, and provides a shield on the outer aura. It will bring inner strength and depth of spirit, with exceptional manifesting powers. .It teaches us to see with our heart and reminds us that limitations and restrictions are an illusion and the product of our own imagination. It will assist with accessing insight into the higher ethereal realms.

Obsidian

Black Obsidian is an extremely powerful and rapid acting crystal, and caution is advised for use with crystal healing. A person would be wise to be prepared for any residual negative through patterns and emotions to surface from the use of this crystal, which need to be confronted before inner peace can be established. For many people the energy of this crystal can be overpowering, and they will avoid it where possible. I have seen healers give a large berth in crystal retail outlets where this stone is held, because they have had experience in the past where it “brings them to tears'. It should be noted that it is important for over all well-being that these emotions DO surface, but if there is a great deal of emotional suppression, it can be overwhelming to go through the processes – a person in this situation would be looking to have them surface in a safe and private space, and may need to work through the issues that surface with a professional counsellor or psychologist. Once these issues have been “dealt with”, then it is possible to enjoy the other properties offered by black obsidian – that of protection. It is said to shield against negativity from people and the environment and many crystal healers will wear these on their person when conducting readings or healing treatments, to guard against taking on board the energy of the “client”. Black obsidian should be cleansed regularly under running water. Black obsidian also assists with getting to the “truth” of situations, removing blockages and cutting through illusions. Chakra: Base

Ocean Jasper

A nurturing stone that brings the owner to closer awareness of their personal power and strengths, and as such more able to enjoy the positive aspects of life. Claimed to absorb negative energy and bring tranquility to the owner, through a sense of wholeness and self honesty. Provides protection and support during long periods of stress. Helps with quick thinking, and organisational skills. Said to assist in the recovery from a range of physical illnesses at a cellular level, including internal organs, female reproductive system, digestive system and skin conditions. Chakras: Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat Zodiac: Leo and Aquarius.

Opal

Calms and soothes the emotions whilst increasing self worth and self confidence (note that the colours of the opals create different healing properties).

Opalite

Stabilises mood swings and brings forth understanding of the truth of who a person is. Raises self awareness, and understanding that it is possible to achieve any goals. Restores hope when all appears to be lost. Creates awareness that dreams can become a reality. Assists to restore serenity and is said to restore hope and faith in life and the future for people who are suffering mental health conditions and who may have been considering suicide. Peridot

A great abundance stone. Helps to open the heart chakra and allow one to better receive the energies that are needed to sustain and thrive. Said to regenerate the metablism, and to alleviate jealousy, spite anger and stress. Assists to enter into change. Said to aid the thymus and heart function. Phenacite

An incredibly powerful stone of high vibration – brings clarity and serenity to those that wear it. To meditate with Phenacite can lead to heightened clairvoyance visions and inter dimensional awareness and unity with source. The first time I meditated with it I found myself visualising Africa and watching events happening there.

Quartz - Clear

Clear quartz has the property of amplifying and magnifying the properties of the any other crystal that it is used with. It comes in a range of forms and colours and each has their own “special qualities”. Clear quartz alone can be programmed to hold the healing properties of the other crystals if they are inaccessible. For instance if you looked at a book on crystals -you could place your crystal point over the picture of the crystal you want and call on universal energy to “attune “ the clear crystal to the energies of the crystal you seek the properties of. Leave the crystal for as long as you feel guided to, and then meditate or use it for healing energy on your person (or however you feel guided to). Damaged clear crystal points are known as “empaths” and are said to “carry the pain for you”. If someone was deeply grieving and saddened -you could gift them the empath crystal and then they hold it or handle it when they feel down, and transfer their emotional pain through to the crystal. This is a stone of compassion nd healing. It assists in the process of self acceptance, self forgiveness and increased self love and respect. Ruby is a stone of intensity and passion. It is said to encourage success, courage, heightened awareness and mystical communion. It is also believed to be an aphrodisiac. Has the capacity to restore passion in love making and to increase the chance of conception. Said to be a protector from spiritual or psychological attack. It is associated with the base chakra, but at the same time, resonates with the heart chakra and is the stone of the “soul mate”. Assists in a sense of security and safety to feel comfortable to share and demonstrate love. Selenite is another multi purpose crystal and predominantly used for clearing and removing negative energy and blockages. You can keep it in your room in log form as an environmental cleanser or you can use wands to “cut negative cords”. Alternatively it can be carried and worn as a treatment for stress and anxiety or as a form of protection. You could also put somein the car as a “protector during travel”. It can also be used with Herkimer Diamond to “open the third eye to full pscyhic vision.

Has been named because of the appearance of angelic type wings within the stone and is said to be a communication conductor to the angels, or fairy/devic realms. Said to assist in Astral traveling. Physically it is said to support the lungs and the heart, stimulation of the metabolism, and weight lost amongst others, and release of tensio in the neck muscles.
