The Semi Majors are not standard with every Tarot reader, and the concept is one that I learned about in a book by Alarnah Tobin-Gray, who learned the technique from her Grandfather. As with anything to do with the metaphysics, its a way of personalising the deck, and I have chosen to personalise my decks along with her style. The key here is that once you have decided to use your deck with the “Semi Majors” the cards can no longer be used in their traditional meanings (as listed in the Minor Arcana on this website). If you choose to attune and personalise your deck to include the “Semi-majors” then you take the following cards from the deck as listed below:
POWER – the front card of the pack that carries the logo and usually blank.
GYPSY – Three of cups /chalices
MEDITATION – Seven of cups / chalices
INFINITY -Two of cups/ chalices
AMETHYST ROSE – eight of cups/ chalices.
