Affirmations

Historically, the power of the word has not been a secret. Many people refer to the power of words as the 'power of prayer'. However, for many others, the word carries magic through the power of vibration and intention. For many people, when they think of the 'power of the spoken word', they may know the types of affirmations taught by Louise Hayes or Florence Scovell Shinn. Shinn identified as a "Christian Theosophist," and many theosophists acknowledge that the Greek Philosophers and Asian Teachings have influenced their beliefs. The timelessness of Affirmations and their magic make them relevant in the 21st Century.

Affirmations and Denials require faith in a Creator, but are not related to individual or independent religions. Energy/Light Affirmations are dependent on an open-mindedness to 'Higher Power' , energy, light and Vibration and are associated with concepts presented by the Vedas (Hinduism).Affirmations are a good practice to adopt for manifesting in any way. Historically, they are grounded in the spiritual law of what we say and think we create. More recently, they are aligned with the concept of neurobiology. Whatever our beliefs around affirmations, we can all agree that they help to ‘rescript’ negative beliefs about ourselves and support manifesting our ideals. From a spiritual perspective, words and thoughts are said to create a ‘vibration’ that emanates from a person outwardly into the environment and makes an external response that is either constructive or destructive.

Denials

Affirmations

Affirmations are 'Divine Statements of intent' of what a person wishes to manifest and create in their lives. You may be familiar with the 'spiritual' or Universal laws, referencing the 'Law of Attraction' and the Law of Manifestation; however, when we make affirmations, there is more to it than just saying words. There is a process for how to say the words, as well as a requirement for specific actions as part of 'energising' the statement. The statement of intent, combined with the actions, is vital to the manifestation process. There are at least three types of Affirmations:

1. Chakra Affirmations - Believed to foster a 'higher' and 'lighter' vibration of the chakra and the energy within and around them including the aura

2. I AM Affirmations - Believed to align a persons will with Divine Will, to raise personal vibration to 'Divine Vibration' and to access "higher" and divine energy of the highest of light beings.

3. Theosophical Affirmations - Believed to align a person with Divine/God Will and requiring of demonstrations of faith.

Denials

Denials are Affirmations in reverse and not a suppression of emotions or leading a person to a pathway of delusion. They acknowledge reality but, at the same time, encourage a person to 'stand in their power'. The Denial recognises that a person is limiting themselves because they are overwhelmed and potentially struggling to process and structure their thoughts and to make healthy choices and decisions as their 'vision is clouded by emotion'. The Denial helps a person recognise that the solution to their problems lies within themselves and how they are emotionally reacting to the external factors. Instead of succumbing to self-defeating thoughts and behaviours, including when life appears to be chaotic, they can make a statement such as:

"I deny the appearance of chaos and all obstacles to my Divine Plan."

This kind of Denial is not about deluding oneself from the reality of what is happening in one's life. Instead, it helps to emotionally distance from the chaos. The Denial also reinforces faith and alignment with the Divine Will by recognising that these challenges are temporary, part of life and opportunities for growth, and a release of resistance. It is resistance that creates grief. In this way, there is an acceptance (and a release of resistance to circumstances and events). There is an acknowledgement of the 'problems' as well as a recognition that there is a Divine Will and a Divine Plan, where there is a 'silver lining to all dark clouds'. It also solidifies faith in the Creator, the meaning of life and that problems are not insurmountable. A denial is then usually followed by an affirmation, which creates an 'attitudinal shift' that raises the vibration. For instance,

"I deny the appearance of Obstacles on my path and give thanks for blessings seen and unseen".

"I AM" Affirmations

I AM affirmations are where we are affirming that our will and desires are one with the Divine Creator, also referred to as the "Great I AM". These types of affirmations should be brief, direct and to the point and are used when attempting to raise the personal vibration. The beginning of the statement is also the ending of the statement, as demonstrated in the examples. Before doing these types of affirmations, a person would centre and ground themselves, focus on their breath, and do some sacred breathing cycles before saying the affirmations. It is always best to make the affirmations verbally, in a strong voice (without yelling). Speaking with conviction. The I AM affirmations are ones that need to be repeated - such as once you have centred, do a repetition of about 30, one after the other. You can use them when stuck and bogged down in physical and emotional problems or when you are working toward accessing your Divine gifts. When really 'stuck', you can do the sets multiple times a day. By doing the affirmations, you are 'repatterning' thinking and attitudes as well as raising your vibration.

For example, people opening and activating their psychic gifts might use the following:

I AM open to divine guidance I AM.

If they are struggling to remain positive in the face of challenges:

I AM grateful for blessings seen and unseen I AM.

Other examples are:

I AM able to achieve my goals with ease I AM

I AM worthy of love and respect I AM

I AM loved, loving and loveable I AM

I AM grateful for all my experiences I AM

I AM a magnet to blessings I AM

I AM gracious I AM

I AM open and willing to embrace positive change I AM.

Theosophical Affirmations and Denials

Theosophical Affirmations and Denials are faith-based statements of intention and purpose. Faith includes belief in Spiritual Law (or Universal Law) and reliant on:

1. Belief in a Creator God/ Divine Master

2. Everyone has a Divine plan that includes a Divine pathway that is aligned with the will of the Creator.

3. Everyone has free will - and freedom of choice.

4. The Divine pathway encompasses both free-choice opportunities and predestined agreements made between a person's soul, the Creator, and the soul pack before the person is born on earth. This Divine Plan includes the families we are born into to 'experience, learn and grow'.

5. Everyone on the planet carries a piece of the Creator within them - referred to in different ways such as "Holy Spirit', others the 'Soul Diamond', and others the "Namaste' (the Divine Spark).

6. As everyone has a soul spark, we are ONE with the Creator and connected to everyone on the planet because of the 'shared spark', and we are all brothers and sisters.

7. The Creator's Will is that we experience joy, love and peace in alignment with Him/Her and with each other from a space of care, kindness and high regard.

Affirmations for Prosperity

God is my unfailing supply, and large sums of money come to me quickly, under grace, in perfect ways. ​

I now draw from the abundance of the spheres my immediate and endless supply. All Channels are free! All doors are open!

I now release the gold-mine with me. I am linked with an endless stream of prosperity which comes to me under grace in perfect ways.

Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of abundance for ever.

My Creator is a Creator of plenty and I now receive all that I desire or require, and more.

All that is mine by Divine Right is now released and reaches me in great avalanches of abundance, under grace and in miraculous ways.

My supply is endless, inexhaustible and immediate and comes to me under grace in perfect ways.

All Channels are free and all doors fly open for my immediate and endless, Divinely Designated supply

My ships come in over a calm sea, under grace in perfect ways

I give thanks that the millions which are mine by Divine Right, now pour in and pile up under grace in perfect ways.

Unexpected doors fly open, unexpected channels are free, and endless avalanches of abundance are poured out upon me, under grace in perfect ways.

I spend money under direct inspiration wisely and fearlessly, knowing my supply is endless and immediate.

I am fearless in letting money go out, knowing Creator is my immediate supply.

Affirmations for Guidance

I am divinely aware of my intuitive guidance and sensitive to all Divine hunches... I respond instantly to these hunches for my will is aligned with Divine Will.

Faith without nerve is dead

Never look or you'd never leap

Creator works in unexpected places, through unexpected people, at unexpected times. His/Her wonders to perform.

Power moves but is never moved.

Loving your neighbour means not to limit your neighbour in word, thought or deed.

Never argue with a hunch.

It is dark before the dawn, but the dawn never fails. Trust in the dawn.

When I doubt I play trumps, do the fearless thing.

It is the fearless things that count.

Never do today what the intuition says to do tomorrow.

It's a great life if you don't reason.

Regard your neighbour as yourself.

Never hinder another's hunch.

Selfishness binds and blocks. Every loving and unselfish thought has in it the germ of success.

Be not weary of visualising your dream – when you least expect it you shall reap!

Faith is elastic – stretch it to the end of the your demonstration.

What you do for others you are doing for yourself.

Before you call you are answered, for the supply precedes the demand.

Every act committed while angry or resentful brings unhappy reaction.

​Sorrow and disappointment follow in the wake of deceit and subterfuge. The way of the transgressor is hard. “No good thing will be withheld from him who walks uprightly”.

​​There is no power in evil. It is nothing; therefore can only come to nothing.

Fear and impatience demagnetize. Poise magnetises.

Drown the reasoning mind with your affirmations. If need be clap cymbals so that you can't hear yourself think!

All bondage is an illusion of the race consciousness. There is always a way out of every situation, under grace. Every man is free to do the will of God.

Sure-ism is stronger than Optimism.

Divine Ideas never conflict.

It is dangerous to stop in the middle of a hunch. Infinite Spirit is never too late

Affirmations for Success

The decks are now cleared for Divine Action and my own comes to me under grace in a magical way.

I now let go of worn-out conditions an worn-out things. Divine order is established in my mind, body and affairs. “Behold, I make all things new!”

My seeming impossible good now comes to pass, the unexpected now happens!

The “four winds of success” now blow to me my own. From North, South, East and West comes my endless good.

The Namaste in me is risen, I now fulfill my destiny.

Endless good now comes to me in endless ways.

I clap my cymbals and rejoice, for the Divine Creator goes before me making clear, easy and successful my way.

I give thanks for my whirlwind success. I sweep all before me for I work with the Spirit and follow the Divine Plan of my life. ​​

My Spiritual Sporting blood is up! I am more than equal to this situation.

I am awake to my good, and gather in the harvest of endless opportunities.

​I am harmonious, poised and magnetic. I now draw to myself my own. My power is the Creators power and is irresistible!

Divine order is now established in my mind, body and affairs. I see clearly and act quickly and my greatest expectations come to pass in a miraculous way.

Affirmations for Happiness

I am now deluged with the happiness that was planned for me in the Beginning. My barns are full, my cup flows over with joy.

My endless good now comes to me in endless ways.

I have a wonderful joy in a wonderful way, and my wonderful joy has come to stay.

Happy surprises come to me each day. “I look with wonder at that which is before me.”

I walk boldly up to the lion on my pathway and find it is a friendly Airedale.

I am harmonious, happy, radiant; detached from the tyranny of fear.

My happiness is built upon a rock. It is mine now and for all eternity.

My good now flows to me in a steady unbroken, ever-increasing stream of happiness.

My happiness is Creators affair, therefore, no one can interfere.

As I am one with The Divine, I am now one with my heart's desire.

I give thanks for my permanent happiness, my permanent health, my permanent wealth, my permanent love.

I am harmonious, happy and Divinely magnetic, and now draw to me my ships over a calm sea.

God's ideas for me are perfect and permanent.

My heart's desire is a perfect idea in Divine Mind, incorruptible and indestructible, and now comes to pass, under grace in a magical way.
